A Few Loose Stitches

Well, I was going to post last night, but the internet ate my text.  By the time I was able to reboot my computer and find the darn wifi connection again, I was too tired to remember what I was writing about.  Today, I bring you a better post.

I have begun work on Norah Gaughan’s Skirt #12 from a summer green issue of Knit.1.  It is worked from the bottom up, which means that to start, I had to cast on 435 stitches.  I nearly lost my mind.  I have since been knitting every chance I get, and I feel like I am in the black hole of knitting projects.  I just keep going around and around, adding more balls of yarn, and feeling like I’m adding nothing.

I am using Queensland Bamboo and absolutely loving it!  It is super soft and the drape is lovely.  The color I’m using is called “Celery” I believe, and it is in reality a lot more vibrant than what is visible in the above photo.  Think lime.

Also, I finally listed a pair of wings on etsy.  I wanted photos to do them justice but grew too impatient.  Hopefully, with the coming of warmer weather, I will manage to get better photos soon.  In the meantime, Artemis:
